Golf in Glasgow doesn’t come much better than the luxury offered to players and members at Gleddoch Golf Club.
The Gleddoch Golf Club course was designed by J. Hamilton Stutt in 1974, and before long it had made a name for itself as one of the best courses throughout Scotland. The Club is widely regarded as being one of the most scenic in the West of Scotland – a high level of praise when compared to the high bar of Scottish golfing.
Gleddoch Gold Club caters for players of all abilities and presents a fair test for all golfers. The traditional 18-hole Championship layout course is joined by a 4-hole Academy course and a 300-yard practice ground with covered bays to help with improvement, practice and learning.
However, the main attraction is undeniably the Championship course. This layout features a challenging mix of both park and heathland, with stunning views across the countryside to the Clyde Estuary. The 6450-yard course consists of gently undulating fairways, large greens and a real variety of holes to challenge even the most proficient golfer!
Gleddoch Golf Club is the home of two golf clubs – the gents and ladies clubs. Both are friendly and welcoming, always on the lookout for new members and keen golf enthusiasts to add to their ranks. The Gents competitive team play in the local Muirshiel league, whereas the Ladies only started to play competitively in recent years. Despite this, they are already making an impact in the Renfrewshire District League.
