Designed in 1974 by J. Hamilton Stutt, Gleddoch Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the most scenic in the West of Scotland, and represents a fair test for golfers of all standards. The Championship layout is a challenging mix of Parkland and Heathland with stunning views across the Clyde Estuary. The 6283 yard course features gently undulating fairways, large greens and a real variety of holes which will require you to use every club in your bag.
In addition to the 18-hole course, visitors can also take advantage of the 4-hole academy course and 300-yard practice ground with covered bays.
Gleddoch House Hotel and Golf Club is home to 2 golf clubs. Both the Gent’s and Ladies’ Clubs are welcoming, friendly and always keen to talk to potential new members. Midweek and weekend competitions are arranged throughout the year.
Gleddoch boasts a thriving and successful Senior Section. The “Old boys” meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30am and if you join them you are guaranteed a warm welcome, some healthy competition and a bit of banter. Captained by Matt Gillespie, the Clyde Coast Senior team romped to victory in their league this year.
Our Gent’s team play in the local Muirshiel league and were unlucky to miss out on the 2011 title after several fine displays.
Gleddoch’s Junior team (most of whom have also represented the Gents’ Squad) feature in the Tail Of the bank League.
Gleddoch Ladies Club have only been playing competitive matches for the last couple of seasons but are already making waves in the Renfrewshire District League.
